Muskogee Man Pleads Guilty to Robbery in Indian Country
A brazen daytime robbery in Muskogee, Oklahoma, has landed a 22-year-old resident behind bars. Patrick Lamar Tims, Jr., of Muskogee, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in Indian Country.
The crime, which occurred on or about January 16, 2024, involved Tims taking United States currency by force, violence, and intimidation from a Family Dollar located in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The store is situated within the boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charges against Tims arose from an investigation by the Muskogee Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The agencies worked tirelessly to bring justice to the victims and hold Tims accountable for his actions.
Tims’ guilty plea was accepted by the Honorable Jason A. Robertson, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The judge ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report and remanded Tims to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing.
