NH Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Child Pornography

ALBANY, NEW YORK – A New Hampshire man has been handed a stiff 15-year prison sentence for his despicable act of receiving child pornography.

Isaiah Lafoe, 26, of Lancaster, was sentenced today to 180 months (15 years) in federal prison by United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino. The sentence came after Lafoe pled guilty and admitted his role in the sickening exploitation of a girl in Troy, New York.

Between September 30, 2020, and February 15, 2021, Lafoe communicated with the child over social media, coercing her into sending explicit images and videos. The FBI caught him red-handed as he received these materials on his cell phone.

Lafoe was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to the victim and will be subject to a 25-year supervised release after serving his prison term. His name will forever be etched on the sex offender registry.

The investigation into Lafoe’s actions was led by the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, which includes law enforcement personnel from multiple agencies, including the New York State Police and the Colonie Police Department. The Troy Police Department also assisted in bringing this predator to justice.

Lafoe’s prosecution is a testament to the efforts of Project Safe Childhood, a Justice Department initiative aimed at eradicating online child exploitation. For more information on this vital program, visit Project Safe Childhood.
