Nicholas Heberle, Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Western District of Missouri, has been appointed as the District Election Officer (DEO) for the upcoming November 5, 2024, general election. Heberle will lead the efforts of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in connection with the Justice Department’s nationwide Election Day Program.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Heberle will be on duty in the Western District of Missouri while the polls are open to respond to complaints of voting rights concerns and election fraud. The public can reach him at (816) 426-4233.

The FBI will also have special agents available in each field office and resident agency throughout the country to receive allegations of election fraud and other election abuses on election day. In Kansas City, Missouri, the local FBI field office can be reached at (816) 512-8200.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI are urging the public to report any suspicious activity or concerns about voting rights to the authorities.
