OKLAHOMA CITY – A pair of suspects has been cuffed after their alleged heist at IBC Bank in Moore, Oklahoma. Duncan Eric Herron II, 31, and Regenia Carol Berry, 30, both from Norman, were nabbed for the daylight holdup.
According to an affidavit, Herron and Berry donned masks and black clothing before storming into the Moore branch on Northeast 12th Street. They reportedly pointed a gun at bank employees and demanded cash, making off with the loot in a maroon SUV just minutes later.
Law enforcement pored over surveillance footage from multiple angles to identify Herron and Berry as prime suspects. A subsequent search warrant revealed substantial amounts of cash, including ‘bait bills’ lifted from IBC Bank, at their Norman residence.
Herron and Berry were detained on May 18, facing initial appearances before U.S. Magistrate Judge Bernard M. Jones on May 20. If convicted, each could face up to twenty years in the slammer, along with fines exceeding $250,000 and mandatory restitution.
This investigation was a joint effort by the FBI Oklahoma City Division, Moore Police Department, and Norman Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mary E. Walters, Wilson McGarry, and David McCrary are tasked with bringing these alleged bank robbers to justice.
