An Ohio man has been convicted of a federal drug crime, with the Huntington Police Department seizing a significant amount of cocaine and crack cocaine from his residence in 2018.
Dan Bean, 42, of Toledo, Ohio, pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine in the Huntington area. The charges stem from a search of his residence on Artisan Avenue in Huntington, where officers found 55 grams of cocaine and 20 grams of crack cocaine.
Bean admitted to selling cocaine and crack cocaine in the area and now faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on November 29, 2021.
The announcement was made by Assistant United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, who commended the investigative work of the Huntington Police Department in the case.
United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the plea hearing, with Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie S. Taylor handling the prosecution.
