A Louisville, Kentucky man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine and distribution of over 50 grams of methamphetamine. Antonio O’Neal, 40, admitted to the crimes as part of an open plea on May 21, 2025.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, O’Neal conspired to distribute methamphetamine from January 1, 2021, through August 16, 2023, and distributed the drug on multiple occasions, including April 1, April 24, May 1, May 8, and May 10, 2023. He was held responsible for distributing 960 grams of methamphetamine, which was purchased through law enforcement-controlled purchases.
The sentence was imposed by the Court based on O’Neal’s conduct and his criminal history. He will serve 14 years in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release. It’s worth noting that there is no parole in the federal system, meaning O’Neal will have to serve his full sentence.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD). Assistant United States Attorneys Joshua Porter and Frank Dahl III prosecuted the case, with assistance from paralegal Adela Alic. The conviction is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating transnational criminal organizations and protecting communities from violent crime.

In a statement, U.S. Attorney Kyle G. Bumgarner of the Western District of Kentucky praised the work of the FBI, LMPD, and other law enforcement agencies involved in the case.
