GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Robert Hielscher, a 36-year-old active military employee from Opelika, Alabama, was handed a 60-month sentence for committing a heinous act of domestic violence resulting in substantial bodily injury. The assault took place on April 28, 2013, at Ft. Benning, Georgia, where Hielscher admitted to repeatedly assaulting his victim with his hands and fists in front of their two-year-old child. He further confessed to using a knife to cut the victim during the attack. The judge presiding over the case was Honorable Clay D. Land, United States District Court Judge in Columbus, Georgia.
