Orlando L. Webber, Interstate Stalking, Indiana 2026

A Mississippi man has been charged with interstate stalking after allegedly sending vulgar and sexually explicit messages to at least 30 Evansville-area high schoolers over a five-year period.

Orlando L. Webber, 43, of Columbus, Mississippi, has been charged with five counts of interstate stalking, federal authorities announced this week.

According to court documents, Webber used the moniker ‘Lando’ to send the messages to the high schoolers, who were between the ages of 15 and 16 at the time. The victims reported receiving the messages on various social media platforms, including Twitter.

Each time a victim blocked Webber from their account, he would create a new one to continue the stalking, authorities said.

The investigation began in April 2016, when a victim contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Cyber Tip Line to report the harassment.

The FBI and Evansville Police Department worked together to track down Webber, who was eventually identified through facial recognition technology and subscriber records.

Webber faces up to five years’ imprisonment on each count if convicted, Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Shellenbarger said.

Webber is scheduled to appear in court today for his initial hearing.
