Ex-Prison Officer Sentenced for Sex Crimes in Mississippi
A former Federal Bureau of Prisons Correctional Officer, Parker M. Triplett, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for engaging in sexual acts with a federal prisoner at the Federal Correctional Complex in Yazoo City, Mississippi.
According to the Office of the Inspector General, Triplett, 25, had engaged in sexual acts with a federal prisoner in January 2025. He was subsequently indicted by a federal grand jury on April 8, 2025.
Triplett pleaded guilty to the charges on June 25, 2025, and was immediately taken into federal custody by the United States Marshal Service.
Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi announced the sentencing. The Office of the Inspector General investigated the case, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Kabah S. Ealy prosecuted the case.
Triplett’s sentence marks a significant development in the case, which highlights the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment within federal correctional facilities.
