A 22-year-old Muskogee resident has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for robbery after allegedly demanding cash from a Muskogee Family Dollar store clerk.
The crime occurred on January 16, 2024, at a Family Dollar store in Muskogee, within the boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
According to investigators, Patrick Lamar Tims Jr. approached a clerk and demanded $50 in cash. Tims had his hand in his vest pocket, leading the clerk to fear that he was armed with a gun.
The charges against Tims arose from an investigation by the Muskogee Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Tims pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in Indian Country on May 16, 2024. He will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Satter represented the United States in the case.
The Honorable Raúl M. Arias-Marxuach, Chief Judge in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, sat by assignment in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to preside over the hearing.
