William Dickson, a 61-year-old Pawtucket man, has pleaded guilty to possessing hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The disturbing cache of child pornography was discovered after an FBI investigation identified Dickson’s online peer-to-peer file sharing account. On April 10, 2024, federal agents raided Dickson’s residence, seizing multiple electronic devices that would later reveal the shocking extent of his crimes.

A forensic analysis of Dickson’s devices uncovered approximately 820 images and 20 videos depicting CSAM. The investigation was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Dickson’s guilty plea on March 27, 2026, marks a significant step towards justice for the victims of his heinous crimes.

Dickson now faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of at least five years. His sentencing is scheduled for July 13, 2026. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Julie M. White and was investigated by the FBI.
