AUSTIN, TX – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has scored a legal victory against New York City-based Lola Olivia, Inc. (“Lola Olivia”), effectively cutting off the flow of chest binders the state alleges were being peddled to young girls as young as nine-years-old with the intent to “transition” them. The case, a stark example of the escalating culture wars playing out in courtrooms, centers on accusations that Lola Olivia knowingly exposed vulnerable children to severe health risks.
The Attorney General’s office initiated the lawsuit in February 2026, alleging that Lola Olivia aggressively marketed its chest binders as “safe and effective” while deliberately concealing the documented dangers associated with their use. According to court documents, the company failed to adequately inform purchasers – or their parents – of the potential for lasting physical damage.
And the potential damage is significant. Research cited by Paxton’s office links chest binding to a staggering twenty-eight different medical conditions. These range from temporary discomfort like back and chest pain, shortness of breath, to potentially permanent harm including damage to breast tissue, rib fractures, compromised lung function, and even difficulties with breastfeeding later in life. Paxton paints a grim picture of Lola Olivia’s actions as malicious and intentionally harmful to Texas children.
The immediate result of Paxton’s legal maneuvering is a Temporary Restraining Order (“TRO”) that effectively bars Lola Olivia from selling or shipping chest binders to anyone within the borders of Texas. This represents a significant win for the Attorney General, who has positioned himself as a staunch defender of traditional values and parental rights. The TRO is currently in effect pending further legal proceedings.
“I will never allow radical companies like Lola Olivia to abuse Texas children by ‘transitioning’ them,” Paxton declared in a statement released this morning. “I have now secured an order that stops Lola Olivia from selling chest binders that hurt young girls in Texas. My office will continue to protect our state’s children against radical, sick corporations willing to harm kids with their dangerous agenda.” The statement is a clear indication that Paxton intends to pursue the case aggressively.
Grimy Times has obtained a copy of the TRO, which details the specific restrictions placed on Lola Olivia. The document can be reviewed here. This case is likely to ignite further debate surrounding gender-affirming care for minors and the role of state attorneys general in regulating online commerce. The fight over the health and well-being of Texas children, it seems, is far from over.
