Ex-Police Officer Sentenced for Urine Humiliation
A former Pearl police officer has been sentenced to 12 months in federal prison for violating a person’s civil rights.
Michael Christian Green, 26, was sentenced by U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew S. Harris, who handed down the punishment after Green pleaded guilty to the offense on March 14, 2024.
According to court documents, Green, a certified law enforcement officer with the Pearl Police Department, forced an arrestee in custody to lick urine from the floor of a holding cell within the police department. The incident occurred while Green was on duty.
U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced the sentencing. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Pearl Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel Goff prosecuted the case.
