Pedro Lopez-Dominguez, Illegal Re-Entry, Missouri 2026

A 36-year-old Mexican national has pleaded guilty to re-entering the United States after being convicted of a felony crime.

Pedro Lopez-Dominguez, a resident of the Springfield area, entered a guilty plea to U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Willie J. Epps, Jr. to the offense of illegal re-entry into the United States by an alien after having been previously convicted of a felony offense.

According to the investigation, Lopez-Dominguez was arrested on January 18, 2026, during a traffic stop by deputies from the Greene County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Department. The deputies learned that Lopez-Dominguez had an outstanding arrest warrant from Barry County, Missouri, for a previous criminal offense and failing to appear before that court.

Further investigation revealed that Lopez-Dominguez was illegally within the United States, having been removed three previous times – once in 2017, once in 2018, and most recently in 2019. He had also been previously convicted of the felony offense of Illegal Entry Into the United States of a Previously Removed Alien in 2019.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Carney, in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security – Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations, and the Greene County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Department.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
