Pueblo Narc King Gets 190 Months for Meth & Gun

Denver – Kenneth Lawrence Baca, a 44-year-old Pueblo resident, was handed down a 190-month federal prison sentence for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Baca’s downfall began on October 12, 2021, when an anonymous tip led Pueblo police to investigate him. Through Facebook messenger, Baca agreed to sell heroin and methamphetamines. The following day, officers stopped Baca during a traffic stop after he was observed with no front license plate and an expired registration in his truck.

During the stop, Baca confessed to carrying a pistol in his pants pocket. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a backpack stuffed with meth, fentanyl, heroin, cash, and drug paraphernalia. In his hotel room, they recovered more drugs, paraphernalia, and money. At the time of arrest, Baca was on supervised release following a previous felony conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Judge Regina M. Rodriguez sentenced Baca on February 1, 2023. ‘This defendant repeatedly committed crimes with no regard for the law,’ said United States Attorney Cole Finegan.

‘The FBI Denver Division and the Pueblo Police Department worked tirelessly to bring this dangerous criminal to justice,’ added FBI Special Agent in Charge Mark Michalek. The investigation was led by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel Warhola and the Transnational Organized Crime and Money Laundering Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
