Quandale Turk, Aiding and Abetting Heroin Distribution, West Virginia 2018

A Detroit man has been handed a harsh sentence for his involvement in a heroin trafficking operation in West Virginia.

Quandale Turk, also known as ‘Q’, was sentenced to 16 months in prison for his conviction on federal drug charges. Turk, 43, of Detroit, Michigan, admitted to directing Dahran Montgomery to distribute heroin to a confidential informant in Huntington on February 16, 2017 and May 1, 2017.

Throughout the investigation, the Huntington Police Department worked tirelessly to bring Turk to justice. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, led by Mike Stuart, praised the efforts of law enforcement, stating that ‘without question, we have made a difference.’

United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers imposed the sentence. Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie S. Taylor handled the prosecution of the case.

Turk’s sentence is a significant blow to the heroin trafficking operation in the region. The Huntington Police Department’s dedication to keeping the community safe has been recognized by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
