A 72-year-old Bullhead man has been charged with distributing a controlled substance, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Quenton James Brown Otter, age 72, was indicted on April 9, 2019, by a federal grand jury for Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to 20 years in federal prison and/or a $1,000,000 fine, 3 years up to life of supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The Indictment alleges that between December 21, 2016, and March 27, 2017, Brown Otter knowingly and intentionally distributed a substance containing a detectable amount of Hydrocodone.
Brown Otter appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on April 23, 2019, and pled not guilty to the Indictment.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Troy R. Morley is prosecuting the case.
Brown Otter was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not been set. The charge is merely an accusation and Brown Otter is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
