Raheem Nigge Taylor, Unlawful Possession of Firearms, New Hampshire 2021

Manchester Man Charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearms

A 28-year-old Manchester man has been found guilty of possessing firearms, despite a prior felony conviction that prohibits him from doing so. Raheem Nigge Taylor pleaded guilty to possession of firearms by a prohibited person in federal court, according to Acting United States Attorney John J. Farley.

The investigation began on April 2, 2021, when investigators obtained a search warrant for Taylor’s residence after discovering social media posts that suggested he may have been in possession of firearms. During the search, police found two firearms that matched the weapons displayed in photos on his social media account, as well as multiple rounds of ammunition.

According to court documents, Taylor admitted that the firearms belonged to him, and he is prohibited from possessing them due to prior felony convictions. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 8, 2021.

“In order to protect our community from violent crime, we must keep guns out of the hands of criminals,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Farley. “We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute those who possess firearms illegally so we can keep the Granite State safe.”

Taylor’s actions are a prime example of the dangers of allowing convicted felons to possess firearms. The investigation and prosecution of this case are a testament to the commitment of law enforcement agencies to keeping our communities safe.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime through community-based initiatives and partnerships with law enforcement agencies. The PSN program has been proven to be effective in reducing violent crime and improving public safety.
