Rahm Klampert, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Vermont 2025

Grimy Times investigates the shocking case of Rahm Klampert, a two-time U.S. Open snowboarding champion, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl in Vermont.

On July 31, 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont announced that Klampert, 45, of Hartford, Vermont, had been indicted on the charges. Klampert entered a plea of not guilty during an arraignment before United States Magistrate Judge Kevin J. Doyle.

According to court records, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Klampert’s residence and personal training studio, Rahm’s Results, in Hartford, Vermont, on June 20, 2025. The search yielded approximately 1.1 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, and 75 grams of fentanyl.

In addition to the large quantities of narcotics, law enforcement also recovered 12 firearms, including multiple suspected short-barreled shotguns, assault rifles, and handguns, three of which have been identified as stolen. A money-counter machine and over $100,000 in U.S. currency were also seized.

Multiple sources of information reported to law enforcement that Klampert was trafficking drugs in the Hartford area. The U.S. Attorney’s Office emphasizes that an indictment contains allegations only and that Klampert is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

If convicted, Klampert faces a 10-year mandatory minimum prison sentence and up to a lifetime term of imprisonment. The sentence would be determined by the District Court with guidance from the advisory United States Sentencing Guidelines and the statutory sentencing factors.

Acting United States Attorney Michael P. Drescher commended the investigatory efforts of the Hartford Police Department, the Vermont State Police, the Vermont Drug Task Force, the Brattleboro Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
