In a brazen display of violence, 26-year-old Raymon A. Fuller Jr. of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, allegedly committed a robbery during an illicit drug transaction in August 2020. The situation escalated when Fuller brandished a firearm, putting the lives of those involved at risk.
Fuller, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing any firearm under federal law. The indictment alleges that Fuller committed the robbery and brandished the firearm in furtherance of the violent crime.
The indictment brings a trio of charges against Fuller: Hobbs Act robbery, brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. If convicted, Fuller faces up to 20 years in prison for the robbery charge, a mandatory minimum of seven years to life in prison for brandishing the firearm, and up to ten years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The case was investigated by the Oshkosh Police Department and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble will be prosecuting the case.
Fuller’s indictment serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of violence and the consequences of engaging in illicit activities. The community demands justice and accountability for those who commit such crimes.
An indictment is merely a charge and not evidence of guilt. Fuller is presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, where the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
