Reginald Lionel Gilmore, Methamphetamine Distribution, Mississippi 2023

Reginald Lionel Gilmore, a 40-year-old man from Woodville, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, in January 2023, Gilmore sold 228 grams of methamphetamine to an individual for $3,000.00 in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Bert Carraway prosecuting the case.

Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi, and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the Drug Enforcement Administration, made the announcement.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the government’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

Gilmore’s sentence is a significant blow to the methamphetamine trade in Wilkinson County, and serves as a reminder of the government’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and related crimes.
