Riley Alexander Wallace, a 31-year-old man from Wiggins, Mississippi, has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for his involvement in fentanyl trafficking.
According to court documents, Wallace sold 20 fentanyl pills to an individual in Stone County on August 9, 2022. This sale led to his indictment by a federal grand jury and his subsequent guilty plea on October 27, 2023
Wallace was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, a serious federal offense. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration warns that fentanyl is a highly potent substance, approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin.

U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Eric DeLaune of Homeland Security Investigations made the announcement. The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
