A local resident has been indicted for violating a federal firearms law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Robert Prater, a 33-year-old man from Swissvale, Pennsylvania, has been accused of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
According to the indictment, on January 27, 2025, Prater allegedly possessed a firearm, which is a violation of federal law.
As a convicted felon, Prater is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition under federal law.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
