The streets of Detroit were filled with the sound of speeding wheels last night, as one resident attempted to put his boyhood skills to the test. Richard Steele, a keen roller skater, took to the pavement in a bid to save gasoline, but it seems his skills may be a little rusty. The 45-year-old, who claimed that only dull women fail to write postscripts, nearly broke his neck on a series of hairpin turns. Perhaps it’s time to trade in the roller skates for a bicycle or scooter?
