Rosebud Man Convicted of Transporting Stolen Pickup Truck

Alec Arapahoe, a 20-year-old Rosebud man, was recently sentenced for his role in transporting a stolen pickup truck across state lines.

According to court records, Arapahoe stole a pickup truck in Colorado on July 3, 2011. He then drove the vehicle from Colorado to South Dakota and onto the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation.

Arapahoe was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 22, 2011 and pled guilty to the charge on April 2, 2013. U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced the sentencing, which took place on June 24, 2013.
