Ruiz Reyes Convicted of Violent Crime, Maryland, 2013
A federal grand jury in Maryland has handed down a guilty verdict against Ruiz Reyes, 35, for his involvement in a violent crime. The indictment, filed on August 23, 2013, charges Reyes with committing a violent offense in the state of Maryland.
The case, Ruiz Reyes v. United States, was tried in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. According to court documents, Reyes was arraigned on August 28, 2013, and entered a plea of not guilty. However, after a lengthy trial, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on all counts.
Reyes, a resident of Maryland, was accused of committing a violent crime that resulted in serious bodily harm to another individual. The charges against Reyes carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
