GRAVES COUNTY, OHIO – Salvador Soto-Gomez, a 63-year-old man from Mexico, has been charged with one count of unlawful reentry into the United States, according to a recent indictment. On April 2, 2014, Soto-Gomez allegedly entered the country without proper authorization, sparking an investigation by the United States Department of Homeland Security in Cleveland, Ohio.

Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, stated that the indictment was filed against Soto-Gomez for his alleged actions. If convicted, the defendant’s sentence will be determined by the Court after reviewing factors unique to this case, including Soto-Gomez’s prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violation.
