On December 3, 2025, United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher handed down the sentence in federal court in Omaha. The harsh punishment is a stark reminder of the gravity of fentanyl distribution.
The crime took place on May 17, 2023, when Fontaine sent a Facebook message to Victim 1 stating “do u got Narcan?” The victim replied, “yea.” Fontaine then replied, “Cool, thank you, I got some real fentanyl, wanna smoke some.”
