Jamestown Man Sentenced to 30 Months in Prison for Crack Cocaine Conviction
A Jamestown man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for his crack cocaine conviction. Shaquelle Coleman, 28, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Coleman was arrested on January 23, 2019, for violating the terms of his parole. He was found in the upstairs bedroom of a residence on West 7th Street in Jamestown with another absconding parolee, Earl Stone Jr. During a search of the two defendants, law enforcement officers recovered $1,400 in U.S. Currency, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a digital scale with white residue, and three cellular telephones.
Coleman’s sentencing is the culmination of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Jamestown Police Department, the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, and the New York State Police.
The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Stephen Belongia, the Jamestown Police Department under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision under the direction of Acting Commissioner Anthony J. Annucci, and the New York State Police under the direction of Major James Hall.
Coleman was previously convicted and sentenced to serve 30 months in prison. The charges against him include possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. The investigation and sentencing are a significant blow to those involved in the distribution of crack cocaine in Jamestown.
