Shelton resident Burneست GEYER, JR., 32, has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, according to United States Attorney David X. Sullivan for the District of Connecticut.
The investigation revealed that Geyer had shared child pornography videos and communicated about his collection through encrypted messaging apps, even showing explicit material during a Telegram conversation.
Geyer was arrested on October 8, 2024, after investigators seized his iPhone containing over 3,000 images and videos of child pornography. He also engaged in conversations about sexually exploiting minors and offered to pay for video calls involving children.
Pledging guilty to receipt and distribution of child pornography, Geyer faces a mandatory minimum of five years to a maximum of 20 years in prison. A detention hearing is scheduled for tomorrow in Bridgeport.
The case is part of the Project Safe Childhood Initiative, aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel P. Gordon is prosecuting this matter, with support from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Bridgeport Police Department, and Shelton Police Department.
