Pablo Jacinto-Torres, Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, Arkansas 2017

A Springdale man is headed to federal prison for six years after being caught with nearly 180 grams of methamphetamine, cash, digital scales, and marijuana during a police takedown in 2017. Pablo Jacinto-Torres, 24, was sentenced to 84 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release on one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine.

The hammer came down today in Fayetteville, where U.S. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks handed down the sentence after Jacinto-Torres pleaded guilty in November 2017. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Harris, acting on behalf of Duane (DAK) Kees, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.

Court records show the Springdale Police Department had been closing in on Jacinto-Torres for months. In 2017, officers conducted multiple controlled buys of methamphetamine directly from him—laying the groundwork for a full-scale investigation into his drug operation.

The final arrest came on May 15, 2017, when officers stopped Jacinto-Torres on an outstanding warrant. A search of his vehicle turned up digital scales—common tools of drug dealers—wads of cash, and marijuana. That raid was just the beginning.

A subsequent search of his Springdale residence uncovered approximately 178 grams of methamphetamine. Lab results from the Arkansas State Crime Lab confirmed the substance was pure meth—enough to supply a small street network for weeks.

Jacinto-Torres was indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2017. The Springdale Police Department led the investigation, building a case that left no room for doubt. Now, he faces 84 months behind bars—proof, prosecutors say, that drug trafficking in Northwest Arkansas won’t go unanswered.
