A shocking case of armed robbery has come to light in St. Louis, Missouri, as Dominick Anderson, 31, pleaded guilty to the charge on [today’s date].
According to the investigation, Anderson and his accomplices arrived at the victim’s residence on August 25, 2019, as part of a prearranged drug deal. Anderson and his accomplice entered the residence to buy methamphetamine from the victim.
However, when the victim showed Anderson the methamphetamine, Anderson pulled a gun on the victim and demanded that the victim hand over the methamphetamine. The victim refused, and a confrontation ensued.
Anderson shot the victim in the stomach and stole the victim’s methamphetamine before fleeing the scene with his accomplices. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment for their gunshot wound.
The investigation, led by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, resulted in Anderson’s arrest and subsequent guilty plea.
Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski is handling the matter, and Anderson’s sentencing hearing is set for October 6, 2021. The consequences of Anderson’s actions are now in the hands of the court, and only time will tell what sentence he will face for his crimes.
