A local man has been sentenced to 51 months in prison for distributing heroin in Harrison County, West Virginia.
Steven A. Helms, II, 36, of Clarksburg, was sentenced to 51 months incarceration for distributing heroin, Acting United States Attorney Betsy Steinfeld Jividen announced.
The crime dates back to November 2016 when Helms pled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Possess With the Intent to Deliver Heroin.
The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci M. Cook prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided over the case.
