A Martinsburg man’s involvement in a heroin distribution ring has finally come to a close. Terard Ansor, 25, of Baltimore, Maryland, was sentenced to 60 months incarceration today for distributing heroin, Acting United States Attorney Betsy Steinfeld Jividen announced.

Ansor pled guilty to one count of ‘Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin’ in January 2017. He conspired with others to distribute heroin in Berkeley and Jefferson counties from August to November 2015.

The heroin distribution ring, led by Ansor, was a significant threat to the community. His actions put the lives of countless individuals at risk, and it’s a testament to the hard work of law enforcement that he’s been brought to justice.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Anna Z. Krasinski prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated.
