WORLAND, WY – Steven Shobert, 48, is facing serious federal weapons charges after being arraigned December 12th for unlawful possession of machineguns and an unregistered short-barreled rifle. The Worland, Wyoming man pleaded not guilty and is now awaiting trial, scheduled for February 15, 2024, before Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl.
The case, spearheaded by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), alleges Shobert illegally possessed weapons that require strict federal registration and oversight.
