Elmer Ngo, Child Sex Exploitation, California 2022

STOCKTON, CA – A ruthless predator has been handed a severe punishment for his sickening exploitation of young girls across the nation. Elmer Yusay Ngo, 29, from Stockton, was sentenced today to 20 years behind bars by U.S. District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller, with an additional 50 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, Ngo used social media as his tool for sexual exploitation, targeting female minors nationwide. His twisted tactics included coercing and persuading these minors into producing child pornography at his command. He befriended them online, obtained nude images, and used them as leverage for video calls where he demanded they perform various sexual acts on camera.

The victims were kept from seeing Ngo’s face throughout the video calls, an added measure of terror. His sinister behavior persisted, driven by a relentless pursuit of innocence, which he exploited with cold-hearted calculation.

This case was the result of a joint investigation led by the FBI and the Internet Against Crimes Against Children Task Force, supported by law enforcement agencies from across the country. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kristin F. Scott prosecuted the despicable criminal to justice.

The sentence handed down to Ngo is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information on this initiative, visit www.usdoj.gov/psc for resources on Internet safety.

Elmer Ngo’s despicable actions serve as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in the digital world and the relentless efforts needed to protect our children from such predators.
