Baltimore Woman Charged with Murder-For-Hire
A chilling crime has shaken the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. Susan Anderson, a 56-year-old resident of Elkton, Maryland, has been indicted on charges related to a murder-for-hire. The indictment was returned on May 11, 2017.
According to the indictment, Anderson allegedly paid someone to commit a murder. The FBI’s Baltimore Field Office worked tirelessly to investigate the case, and their efforts have led to Anderson’s indictment.
Anderson faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison for the use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire; and 20 years for solicitation to commit a crime of violence.
The indictment is a serious charge, but it is essential to note that an indictment is not a finding of guilt. Anderson is presumed innocent until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.
Acting United States Attorney Stephen M. Schenning commended the FBI for their work in the investigation. Mr. Schenning also thanked Assistant U.S. Attorney David D. Metcalf, who is prosecuting the case.
The case is a stark reminder of the gravity of murder-for-hire crimes and the importance of law enforcement’s efforts to bring perpetrators to justice. As the investigation continues, the people of Baltimore can rest assured that authorities are working diligently to ensure justice is served.
Susan Anderson’s case serves as a cautionary tale of the devastating consequences of involvement in such heinous crimes. The people of Maryland demand justice, and it is up to the legal system to provide it.
