Billings Woman Pleads Guilty to Carjacking

Talena Florence Boyiddle, 20, of Billings, Montana, has pleaded guilty to a superseding information charging her with carjacking and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich announced the plea today.

According to court documents, Boyiddle admitted to carjacking a vehicle while armed on January 23, 2023. The victim, identified as John Doe 1, reported to the Billings Police Department that he had been carjacked after meeting a woman he knew as “Nicole” online. Boyiddle was found in possession of a Glock 9mm handgun and was identified as the woman in a Facebook photo.

Boyiddle faces a maximum of 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release on the carjacking crime. She also faces a mandatory minimum of five years to life in prison, consecutive to any other sentence, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release on the firearm charge.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Cavan presided over the case. A sentencing date will be set before U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters. The court will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Colin M. Rubich is prosecuting the case. The Billings Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation.
