Tallahassee Predator Pleads Guilty to ChildPorn Production

Tallahassee, FL – In a grim revelation from the Northern District of Florida, Ryan Isbell, 36, has pleaded guilty in federal court to the heinous crime of producing child pornography. U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin praised local and federal law enforcement for their relentless pursuit of justice.

“Our office will aggressively prosecute these cases to bring offenders like this to justice for victimizing our kids,” declared Heekin, underscoring the community’s dedication to protecting its most vulnerable members from predators.

The Tallahassee Police Department stumbled upon Isbell’s digital trail in 2020 when reports of child pornography on his social media account were received. An arrest warrant led to the discovery that a minor victim had been exploited by Isbell, with evidence of the exploitation recorded on his devices.

Isbell now faces a minimum sentence of 15 years and could be sentenced to up to 30 years in federal prison, followed by lifetime supervision upon release. His case was jointly investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

First Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Spaven is prosecuting this harrowing case, which is set for sentencing on November 6, 2025. It is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, led by the Department of Justice.
