Bradshaw Jailed Over 10 Years for Tampa Gunfire
In a chilling morning hours incident, Milton Anthony Bradshaw (45), of Tampa, Florida, has been sentenced to 10 years and 5 months in federal prison after being convicted of possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington handed down the sentence following a guilty verdict by a federal jury in March 2025.
The trial evidence revealed that on September 20, 2022, Bradshaw was involved in an argument with three unknown individuals at the Manchester Apartments in Tampa. Following their departure, Bradshaw hid behind a dumpster and opened fire on them as they drove away from the scene.
After the shooting, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to find a firearm left outside of one of the apartments. Surveillance footage identified Bradshaw as the shooter, with DNA evidence linking him to the firearm used in the attack.
This investigation was carried out by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, while Assistant United States Attorneys Michael R. Kenneth and Chelsey Hanson prosecuted the case. The forfeiture proceedings were handled by Assistant United States Attorney Suzanne C. Nebesky.
This incident is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a Department initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaborative efforts between law enforcement and communities. Launched on May 26, 2021, PSN focuses on fostering trust, supporting community-based organizations, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes to ensure safer neighborhoods.
