Defendant Sentenced to 35 Years in Federal Prison for Armed Robbery, Murder

Baltimore, MD – In a shocking turn of events, Taylor King Pepe, a 21-year-old man from Laurel, Maryland, has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for his role in the murder of a robbery victim in Maryland.

The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge George L. Russell III, who found Pepe to be the organizer and leader of the armed robbery conspiracy. The incident occurred on January 23, 2014, when Pepe and his co-conspirators planned to rob Russell Rowe of Oxycodone pills.

According to the plea agreement, Pepe and his co-conspirators – Desmick Lewis, Amanda McAdoo, and Lauren Maready – planned to rob Rowe in a coordinated effort. However, things took a deadly turn when Lewis began shooting at Rowe, who was subsequently shot multiple times and left for dead.

Pepe and his co-conspirators then fled the scene, leaving Lewis and McAdoo behind. They later met up and discussed the robbery and murder in detail, showing a blatant disregard for human life.

The investigation led to the arrest of multiple individuals, including Avery Terry, who was sentenced to 181 months in prison for his role in the CVS robbery and the murder of Rowe. Donte Powell, a Crips gang member, also pleaded guilty to his involvement in the CVS robbery and is currently serving a state sentence for an unrelated armed robbery.

Pepe’s sentencing comes as a relief to the family and friends of Russell Rowe, who was tragically taken from them far too soon. The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of armed robbery and the devastating consequences that can occur when individuals take the law into their own hands.

Pepe’s 35-year sentence is a testament to the dedication of law enforcement officials and the justice system, who worked tirelessly to ensure that those responsible for Rowe’s murder would be held accountable for their actions.
