On March 21, 2005, the U.S. Department of Justice filed charges against Terrence Darnell Brown in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, under case number BC-05-00251. Brown was accused of committing violent crimes, including a string of armed robberies and assaults that took place in the Baltimore area between 2001 and 2004.

According to reports, Brown and his accomplices targeted local businesses, using handguns to intimidate victims and make off with cash and valuables. The investigation, led by the Baltimore Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), resulted in the seizure of evidence and the identification of several suspects, including Brown.
