Jean-Pierre Tessier, Counterfeit Operation, California 2005

In a brazen bid to evade the long arm of the law, the notorious Tessier gang decided to trade in their guns for printing presses. With a string of 40 robberies and multiple murders under their belt, the gang’s members knew they were running out of luck. In 1937, most of the gang found themselves on the wrong side of the bars at Sing Sing, a fate they narrowly escaped. Engelsher and Leibson, however, managed to evade capture and opted for a life of adventure on the open road.
