A Petersburg man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking operation. Torry Little, of Petersburg, Va., was sentenced to 132 months in prison for possession with the intent to distribute 5 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine hydrochloride.
The sentencing was announced by Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Karl C. Colder, Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s Washington Division, after the sentencing by United States District Judge James Spencer.
Little pleaded guilty on May 9, 2013. According to court documents, Little sold cocaine to a confidential informant on two separate occasions. Later, officers executed a search warrant on Little’s residence and recovered 39 grams of an unusually high-purity form of methamphetamine, 1003 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, $13,218 in United States currency, and a .380 caliber handgun.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Virginia State Police Central Virginia Regional Narcotics Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Erik S. Siebert prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
The sentencing comes as a result of a lengthy investigation into Little’s activities. The investigation revealed that Little was involved in the distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in the Petersburg area.
