According to court documents, Trejo-Maldonado was shipped out of the United States on November 30, 2018. However, he brazenly returned to American soil on July 25, 2025, a date that will likely bring him a two-year sentence should he be convicted.
The defendant never sought nor received consent from the Attorney General or the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission to the United States.
