WILMINGTON, N.C. – Trenton Pearson, a 35-year-old Lumberton man, was sentenced to 240 months in prison for his role in a series of violent crimes committed in 2018 and 2019.
According to court documents, Pearson was found guilty of robbery, carjacking, and kidnapping after a series of crimes committed in Robeson, St. Pauls, and Fayetteville, North Carolina.
On November 24, 2018, Pearson robbed the Dollar General Store located at 2656 Lombardy Village Road, Lumber Bridge, N.C., stealing approximately $320 from the cash register.
On November 26, 2018, Pearson robbed the Sun-Do Gas Station located at 902 East Avenue, Red Springs, N.C., stealing approximately $1,539.00 from the cash register.
On November 27, 2018, Pearson robbed the Dollar General located at 584 W. Clark Street in St. Pauls, N.C., stealing approximately $4,461 from the register and leaving the business on a bicycle.
On August 30, 2019, Pearson robbed the Family Dollar located at 407 East Broad Street, St. Pauls, N.C., stealing the entire cash register and other store items worth approximately $210.
On August 31, 2019, Pearson robbed the Dollar General Store located at 2477 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville, N.C., stealing money from the cash register containing approximately $216.
On September 1, 2019, Pearson carjacked a woman’s Dodge Journey at David’s General Store in Shannon, N.C., and on September 3, 2019, he kidnapped a woman at gunpoint in Fayetteville, N.C.
Trenton Pearson was sentenced to 240 months in prison for his crimes, which he committed while on post-release supervision and revoked back to state prison for a term of months.
