Treyian Jamal Mason, a/k/a Tray Mason, age 22, of Coalgate, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, a crime punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $250,000.00 fine.
The guilty plea was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. According to the indictment, on February 13, 2025, Mason knowingly possessed, concealed, and disposed of a stolen semi-automatic pistol which he knew or had reasonable cause to believe was stolen.
The investigation that led to Mason’s guilty plea was conducted by the Coalgate Police Department, the Coal County Sheriff’s Office, the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The collaborative effort between these law enforcement agencies ultimately brought Mason to justice.
The Honorable D. Edward Snow, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. The report will be used to determine the sentence to be imposed, taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence to be imposed on Mason, who will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patrick M. Flanigan and Joshua Satter represented the United States in this case.
