BOSTON – In a brutal display of gang power, two alleged members of the Trinitarios gang have been charged with a May 2024 kidnapping in Andover, Mass. Isiah Medina, a/k/a “Ice”, 25, and Rodderith Peralta, a/k/a “Mago”, 26, both of Lawrence, were charged by criminal complaint with one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
The alleged kidnapping took place on May 5, 2024, when Medina and Peralta allegedly burst into the victim’s apartment, forcing him into a vehicle and holding him captive for multiple days. The victim was eventually released in Lowell, Mass. The defendants, both alleged members of the Lawrence Chapter of the Trinitarios gang, are currently in custody on unrelated state charges.
According to charging documents, the suspects wore law enforcement jackets during the kidnapping, adding a chilling layer of deception to their crime. The victim, who made numerous statements to police, described the circumstances of the kidnapping, which aligned with the 911 caller information and physical evidence.
Medina was arrested in April 2025 on an unrelated charge, and his phone was searched pursuant to a search warrant. Investigators found videos and photographs allegedly taken while the victim was held captive, including one depicting the victim in handcuffs in a basement. Peralta’s hand, identified by a tattoo, can allegedly be seen interacting with the victim’s face in one of the videos.
The charge of conspiracy to commit a kidnapping carries a maximum penalty of up to life in prison, up to five years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard of the Organized Crime and Gang Unit is prosecuting the case, which is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation.

The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. Their next court appearance is scheduled for next week in U.S. District Court.
