ELYRIA, OHIO – Two individuals have been arrested in Elyria, Ohio, after police discovered drugs and guns in a home with children.
According to a press release from Google Weapons Crime, Michael J. Johnson and Jessica L. Smith were arrested on April 10, 2023 and charged with Aggravated Possession of Drugs and Improperly Discharging a Firearm in a School Zone.
The arrest occurred after police executed a search warrant at a residence in Elyria, where they found a quantity of drugs and firearms. The children present at the residence were removed and placed in protective custody.
Johnson and Smith are being held at the Lorain County Jail pending their arraignment. The case is being investigated by the Elyria Police Department.
