Tyriese Green-Saunders, Crack Distribution, Pennsylvania 2021

PITTSBURGH – Crack distribution in the city has hit a major setback as a local dealer is behind bars for the next four years.

Tyriese Green-Saunders, 23, was sentenced to 48 months in federal prison followed by 3 years of supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws, announced United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung.

United States District Judge W. Scott Hardy imposed the sentence on Green-Saunders on April 20, 2021, the same day he was found in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

According to information presented to the court, Green-Saunders was caught red-handed on April 20, 2021, in a bust that was the result of a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Monroeville Police Department.

Assistant United States Attorney Christopher M. Cook prosecuted this case on behalf of the government. United States Attorney Chung commended the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Monroeville Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Green-Saunders.
